The Practice of Law

Week 1
Week 1

In this week, students will learn the necessary vocabulary and language skills needed to understand and communicate effectively in the field of law. They will learn about different types of law, legal processes, and legal systems. They will also practice common legal scenarios such as negotiations, contracts, and legal correspondence.

Sale of Goods

Week 2
Week 2

During this week, students will focus on the vocabulary and language related to the sale of goods. They will study the legal principles and concepts related to buying and selling goods, such as contracts, warranties, and consumer protection laws. They will also practice reading and drafting legal documents related to the sale of goods.

Intellectual Property and Debtor-Creditor

Week 3
Week 3

In this week, students will learn about two important legal areas: intellectual property and debtor-creditor law. They will study the legal concepts related to intellectual property, such as trademarks, patents, and copyrights. They will also learn about debtor-creditor law, including bankruptcy, collection, and foreclosure. Through practice exercises, students will improve their ability to read and write legal documents related to these areas.

Competition Law and Transnational Commercial Law

Week 4
Week 4

During the final week, students will study two additional legal areas: competition law and transnational commercial law. They will learn about the laws that regulate business competition, such as antitrust laws, and how these laws apply to different types of businesses. They will also study transnational commercial law, which deals with legal issues that arise when doing business across borders. Students will practice reading and writing legal documents related to these areas to improve their language skills and comprehension.

Where are you based?

Our offices are located in Kigali, Rwanda. All programs offered are presented in-person and online, therefore you can complete a course from home or on the go; you just need a stable internet connection and enough time to complete your course.

What support will my employees have?

The Head Tutor offers academic support and responds to queries relating to the course material, and the Success Adviser assists with administrative queries such as extensions or possible challenges when uploading assignments.

Yes, the courses run throughout the year and we can schedule your team to be a part of the next course presentation. Your account manager can help resolve any other queries in this regard.

Your account manager will provide you with performance reporting of your employees showing their progress, grades, and overall performance on the course.
