The Changing Face of International Diplomacy

Week 1
Week 1

During the first week of the course, students will explore the evolving nature of international diplomacy. They will learn about the historical context and current trends in diplomacy, including the rise of digital diplomacy and the changing role of traditional diplomatic institutions. Students will examine case studies to understand the complexities of contemporary diplomatic challenges and how they are being addressed.

Diplomatic Communication in English

In the second week, the focus will be on how to communicate diplomatically in English. Students will learn how to use appropriate language and tone to convey their message effectively in a diplomatic context. They will explore different types of diplomatic communication, such as speeches, official letters, and press releases, and practice writing and delivering them in a diplomatic style.

Managing International Media

During the third week, students will examine the role of the media in international diplomacy and learn how to manage media relations effectively. They will explore the impact of social media on diplomatic communication and how to use different platforms to reach target audiences. Students will practice preparing and delivering media briefings and interviews, as well as responding to media inquiries.

Science and Digital Diplomacy

Week 4
Week 4

The final week will focus on the emerging fields of science and digital diplomacy. Students will explore how scientific cooperation can be used to promote international relations, and how technology is transforming the way diplomacy is conducted. They will examine case studies of successful science and digital diplomacy initiatives, and learn how to apply these concepts in practical situations. By the end of the course, students will have a comprehensive understanding of the changing landscape of international diplomacy and the skills to communicate effectively in a diplomatic context.

Our offices are located in Kigali, Rwanda. All programs offered are presented in-person and online, therefore you can complete a course from home or on the go; you just need a stable internet connection and enough time to complete your course.

Yes, the courses run throughout the year and we can schedule your team to be a part of the next course presentation. Your account manager can help resolve any other queries in this regard.

Your account manager will provide you with performance reporting of your employees showing their progress, grades, and overall performance on the course.
